Do They Deserve Second Chance?

Good day everyone! It’s me again and I have a question for you. Are you aware of the Age of Criminal Responsibility? If not, don’t turn this page and have a read of it.

Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act RA 9344 talks about the Age of Criminal Responsibility. It is about setting an specific age of a young people that can be arrested after committing a crime. It says there that they made it with 9 years old but many individuals disagree with it. In the video, the interviewee which is a psychologist, shared her thought about this issue and she disagreed with it.

“Those children possibly become traumatized” It was said by the psychologists. She also said that the thinking skills of children are still developing. They can be easy to manipulate and control that’s why they deserve a sencond chance.

The article is seemingly related to some of my blogs I have posted before. It is related in a way that most of my blogs tackle about persuading people. Though it is not connected to my passion, still it connects with my other blogs. As you can read my introductory post, it was all about speaking up for yourself. Share your thoughts like what I have seen in the videos. All of the interviewee shared their thought about the Age of Criminal Responsibility.

Crime here and there. That’s the status of our society today. The video is evidently related to the issues of our society in our present-days and we all know these. This is the reason why Age of Criminal Responsibility is one of the intriguing issue today. Even children can commit crime. I believe that arresting those children is a no no. They are still young and as what has mentioned in the video, the thinking of those children are still developing. They should have a second chance.

The video increases my understandings about these topic in a way that, before I agree with the 9 years old as the Age of Criminal Responsibility but it has changed now. I realized that yes they are still young and most of them are manipulated by syndicates, something like that. It’s not their fault but the one who controls them. Now I’m against with this law.

I would like to recommend this to all especially to those children. It’s very informative. It has a lesson that will help them to be aware about this topic. It’s kind of satisfying for it increases my knowledge. Try to watch it and comment down what can you say about it!

Second chance? Well it depends. There’s someone who deserves second chance and at this point, let’s give it to our innocent children. Yes they commit crime but always think about why did they do this or who are responsible behind this. Think wisely and be fair. There are things that you need to clear out before you judge. So for you, do children deserve second chance?
